The Ebonyi State Ministry of Works is making steady progress in actualizing the People’s Charter of Needs, as championed by the Executive Governor, Rt. Hon. Builder Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru.
One of the key focus areas, inline Mandate 17, highlights the need to improve, expand, and maintain rural roads and existing infrastructure—a task the Ministry is actively pursuing across the state.
Progress Update: Obiri Street, Abakaliki
As the Commissioner of Works, part of my mandate is to ensure construction work is currently ongoing along Obiri Street in Abakaliki, a vital access road for residents and businesses in the Azuiyi Udene area.

This progress underscores our unwavering focus—FON is Focus—on delivering impactful, people-centered infrastructure projects.
Our Commitment
- Improving access roads to foster mobility and economic activity
- Maintaining infrastructure for safety and durability
- Expanding road networks to open up more rural communities
The Ministry of Works will not rest until we get it right. We are driven by the vision of a modern, connected Ebonyi State—one community at a time.
Join Us in Driving Development
We thank residents for their cooperation and support as we continue to transform our infrastructure landscape in line with Governor Nwifuru’s visionary leadership.
